Today I hit a point I think was mentioned in the book. I feel like, "ok, I get it" and am tempted to stop because, well, there's only 10 more days left. I know I haven't lost weight, just bloat. Not being able to exercise yet is part of that. I want this to end because I want to transition into a Fat Flush habit (maybe 2 weeks) before settling with what will be my new norm. I'm sick of all the protein! I know that's necessary to get through this not hungry, but it feels like too much in my body. I feel terrible for my kidneys! And, the liver isn't far behind once I can drink again. So, today was blah. I didn't cheat or even get tempted by the pizza everyone else ate. I actually saw it as a cardboard box filled with stuff that will make me sick. So, that's good!
Breakfast: scrambled eggs w/ asparagus
Lunch: BOB
Dinner: Roasted spaghetti squash, leftover grilled chicken, and a baked sweet potato w/ ghee
I am at that point with these reintroductions. I don't think I'm eating the stuff enough, or for a long enough period, to really know if they will effect me, so I don't see the point. And it's dragging on and on. Tomorrow is gluten, then 2 days of nothing, and then that's it, because I've decided not to bother with legumes now. At the same time, I feel tempted to eat more of the rice cakes with almond butter, etc., because they were really good! I miss that crunch. I'm leaning towards what you said...no dairy, minimal sugar (except when it's in something like a salad dressing at a restaurant, or a BBQ sauce at my brother's house), no processed foods and 3 meals a day (with snacks only if I'm hungry, like a handful of cashews.) No white bread or pasta, but some whole grains now and then. Have committed to another W30 in October, and may throw one in over the summer if I feel myself getting out of control. I feel that, the closer I stick to it in my day to day life, the easier it will be to go back to hardcore when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed. I wonder also if it would work (or would defeat the purpose) to do a Whole15 every now and then?
